Day 01 - Upon arrival in Kota Kinabalu, the state capital of Sabah, you will be transferred and checked in at the Sutera Harbour Resort. The rest of the be at your own leisure to relax at the hotel and be pampered by its numerous relaxing activities.

Day 02 - The day starts with an introductory tour of Kota Kinabalu and its surrounding countryside. Depending on day of arrival you will be taken to visit a local market (Tamu) to catch your first glimpse of Sabah's indigenous lifestyles.

Day 03 - Depart for the Tunku Abdul Rahman Island Park for a day of Sea, Sand and Sun. First activity will be trekking around Gaya Island. Then you can choose various of activities from relaxing and tanning on tropical white sandy beaches to swimming and snorkelling in the crystal clear waters of the South China Sea. A sumptuous lunch will also be waiting for you to enjoy. Depart back to the hotel later afternoon.(L)

Day 04 - Early flight departure to Sandakan. Upon arrival at the Renaissance Hotel , breakfast will be provided and then proceed to Sandakan Town for a visit to the busiest market in Sabah. Here you can experience the hustle and bustle of daily shopping mix with the ambience of a modern city. Later we will depart to the Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre to see where young and orphaned orang Utan are taught how to survive in the wild. A walk through the rainforest will bear witness to how successful this programme has been. After a short video presentation, we will then depart for Sukau on the mighty Kinabatangan River, stopping along the way for lunch at a local chinese restaurant. We will also stop at Gomantong Caves to learn and see how edible birds' nests are collected 150ft from the cave floor. Check-in at Sukau River Lodge then at leisure until 4:30pm when we will depart for a river cruise up the Minanggol River to catch glimpses of the "Odd Nose of Borneo", the Proboscis Monkey. By sunset we will be back at the River Lodge for a dinner festivity only inhabitants of Sukau can prepare. (B/L/D)

Day 05 - Early morning cruise to the Ox-Bow lake to search for more wildlife and then back to the River Lodge for breakfast before making our way back, driving towards Ranau Town. We will stop at the Poring Hot Spring, checking in at the chalet before proceeding on a trek to the canopy walkways. Here on these walkways, we will be walking 120ft above the forest floor with an excellent view of the rainforest only seen previously by creatures that dwells at the tree canopies. After the canopy walkway, enjoy a leisurely day either bathing in the soothing Hot Spring Spa or swimming in the cool mountain water of the rock pool. Dinner at the Poring restaurant. After dinner we will have a night walk to view nocturnal animals around the trails closer to the chalets. (B/L/D)

Day 06 - After breakfast, we will visit the Butterfly and Orchid centre before proceeding to Kinabalu Park HQ. At the Park HQ join a nature guided walk conducted by a park naturalist. Later that morning, visit the mountain garden. After lunch, we will our journey back to Kota Kinabalu. Overnight at Sutera Harbour Resort. (B/L)

Day 07 - The day starts with a leisure drives to Tenom across the Crocker Range passing the towns of Tambunan and Keningau. Upon arrival at Tenom, visit the Agricultural Research Centre at Lagud Sbrang with highlight visits to the Orchid Centre and Living Crop Museum. Overnight at Perkasa Hotel Tenom. (L/D)

Day 08 - Early breakfast and then proceed to Tenom Railway Station for a train ride to Beaufort town, the journey cuts across the Padas Gorge which is flanked by the Padas River and the Crocker Range. Upon arrival at Beaufort, lunch at leisure at a local restaurant before exploring the town, dub the Venice of Sabah, then we will proceed to Kuala Penyu district for a boat ride to Tiga Island (Survivor Island). Upon arrival at Tiga, check-in at the chalet and the rest of the day at leisure to explore the surrounding or laze around by the beach. (B/L/D)

Day 9 - Full day at Tiga to enjoy a host of activities from just relaxing by the beach, swimming, snorkelling, fishing or for the more adventurous trek to the mud volcanoes and explore the trails around the island. (B/L/D)

Day 10 - Depart back to Kota Kinabalu and check-in at the Sutera Harbour Resort or to get away from it all the Rasa Ria Resort at Tuaran. (B)

Day 11 - Day free at leisure or take an optional tour.

Day 12 - Day free at leisure or take an optional tour.

Day 13 - Departure transfer to the airport for your flight back home.

Tour of Borneo - Wildlife, Nature and Culture Adventure
(14D/13N) (Code EB 24)

 

Day 01 - Upon arrival at Kota Kinabalu, state capital of Sabah you will be transferred to the Sutera Harbour Resort. In the afternoon you will be met by your guide for a City Introductory Tour.

Day 02 - Start your day early as we will drive towards the Kinabalu Park. Along the way (depending on day) we will visit a local market (Tamu), where we will get a chance to see the indigenous people of Sabah doing their weekly activities. Upon arrival at Kinabalu Park, we will be joining the park naturalist on a nature guided walk where we are going to learn more about the flora and fauna of Kinabalu. At the end of the walk we will then be taken to the mountain garden where a whole ranges of flora are collected from remote places around the mountain and displayed in their natural environment. Day 03 - Mount Kinabalu beckons you. An early breakfast and then meeting with our mountain guide. We will then be driven to Timpohon Gate about 4km away where our ascent of Kinabalu begins. The first day trek will be between 4 to 6 hours and you will end your trek at Laban Rata (3,353m). Rest and enjoy the scenery and sunset. (B/packed L/D)

Day 04 - 2am wakeup call and light breakfast before our final assault to the summit. We will reach the summit by sunrise. Prepare to see the awesome spectacle about to unfold before you as the day shines upon Borneo. Our return journey will trace our steps back to Timpohon Gate and then the Park HQ for lunch. Later you will be driven to the Poring Hot Spring to relax and enjoy the soothing sulphur bath. Overnight at Poring Chalet (B/L/D)

Day 05 - Proceed back to Kota Kinabalu and in the afternoon take a flight to Sandakan, check-in at the Renaissance Hotel Sandakan. The rest of the day at leisure to relax by the hotels' pool. (L/D)

Day 06 - Breakfast at the hotel and then proceed to Sandakan Market, the busiest in Sabah. Later we will proceed to the Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre to see the feeding of the semiwild orang utan and learn more about the rehabilitation project being conducted here. A visit to the information centre and a short video show will be next on the agenda. Lunch at a local chinese restaurant before proceeding to Sukau Village with a stop at the Gomantong cave to learn and see how edible birds nest are collected 150ft from the cave floor. Check-in at the river lodge. In the early evening, we will take a boat ride up the Minanggol River to search for the Proboscis Monkey - found only in Borneo. We return to the river lodge late evening and dinner will be local fare. (B/L/D)

Day 07 - Early morning cruise to the Ox-Bow lake and then back to the lodge for breakfast before making our way to Lahad Datu Town where we will be brief about our next adventure. After the briefing, we will then be taken to the Danum Valley where our next destination will be the Borneo Rainforest Lodge deep in the rainforest of Borneo. After the check-in procedure and briefing, we will then have our own time to walk on the self-explanatory trail and later in the evening (after dinner) we will go on a night safari drive to view the noctunals animals. Day 08 - A full day of activities awaits us, starting with an early morning walk to see the bird life and other wildlife before walking on the canopy walkway (120ft above ground). Breakfast and then you will be taken on a trail walk to the ancient burial ground high above the hill overlooking the Rainforest Lodge. Hear the story as it has been passed down for generations. End the morning with a leisure swim in one of the three natural pond that are found close by. Night walk and dinner before joining in on the night safari drive. (B/L/D)

Day 09 - Breakfast and depart Rainforest Lodge for your journey back to Lahad Datu and flight back to Kota Kinabalu. Check-in at the Sutera Harbour Resort. (B/L)

Day 10 - Early morning departure to Beaufort to catch the train to Pangi station where exhilarating white water rafting adventure awaits. The 9km rapids on a grade 4 - 6 river is one of the most challenging, ending at Rayoh station with a BBQ lunch. We will then board the train back to Beaufort and make our way down the river to Kota Klias where a cruise in search of more wildlife awaits. Stay overnight with a host family and enjoy an evening the Sabah way. (B/BBQ l/D)

Day 11 - Breakfast with your host family and then we will proceed to Tiga Island. Upon arrival at Tiga, check-in at the chalet and the rest of the day is at leisure to laze by the beach, swim or snorkel or if you are up for it, a trek on one of the nature trails. (B/L/D)

Day 12 - A full day at Tiga Island to enjoy yourself in leisure or with the numerous sea base activities that is provided. (B/L/D)

Day 13 - Depart Tiga for Kota Kinabalu. Check-in at the Sutera Harbour Resort and the rest of the day at leisure for you to relax by the swimming pool or explore Kota Kinabalu City for that elusive souvenirs to take home. (B)

Day 14 - Transfer to the airport for your journey back home.

Mountain Biking & Homestay – Experience The Local Way Of Life (5D/4N) (Code EB 25)

 

Day 01 – Met upon arrival at KK airport and transfer to Lucy B&B. Rest of day free at leisure to explore KK.

Day 02 – Commence Mt. Biking journey to Penampang and visit the Skull House and Monsopiad Kadazan Cultural Village. Overnight Homestay to experience native lifestyle.

Day 03 – Cycle to Papar and stop at Koposizon Homestay Rest of day at leisure with fishing activities.

Day 04 – Cycle to Beaufort and then to Klias Village and overnight Homestay. Evening river cruise to search for Proboscis Monkey and other wildlife.

Day 05 – Cycle back to KK and stay at Sutera Habour resort or Rasa Ria Resort.

Packed, Non-Stop Adventure - Not For The Faint-Hearted (5D/4N) (Code EB 26)

 

Day 01 - Depart for Kinabalu National Park from KK (International Airport or Hotel). Arrival at Kinabalu National Park Head Quarters & Check into your Chalets. Dinner will be served from 19:00 - 21:30 at Liwagu Restaurant. (Overnight Stay in Kinabalu National Park)

Day 02 - Breakfast will be served from 07:00 onwards. Meet up with your Experienced Mountain Guide at the Reception. The trek to Laban Rata will take approximately 4 to 5 Hours. Lunch will be served at Laban Rata from 12:00 - 14:00. Afternoon at Leisure from the mountain top. Dinner will be served at Laban Rata Rest house from 19:00 - 21:00. (Overnight Stay in Laban Rata)

Day 03- Early Morning Snack will be served at Laban Rata Rest house. Start your ascent to the Summit of Mt Kinabalu. CONGRATULATIONS!! Enjoys the breathtaking Sunrise from the Summit. Breakfast will be served at Laban Rata from 07:00 - 10:00. Start your return trek to the Kinabalu National Park Head Quarters. Lunch will be served from 12:00 - 14:00 at Liwagu Restaurant. Transfer to Poring Hot Springs. Enjoy the rest of the day in the hot sulphuric mineral spring soothing all the aching muscles. Transfer back to KK. (Overnight stay in KK)

Day 04 - KIULU WHITE WATER RAFTING (Grade 3-4) Duration : 6 hrs
Depart Kota Kinabalu at 8:30 a.m. from the hotel and take a one-hour drive to Sukang/Pukak (starting point) in the Tamparuli district. Once our guide has finished preparing the equipment, we will start this breath-taking rafting down Kiulu River for about 2 hours to the end-point (Kiulu Town), covering 7-9 km. Lunch will provided at 2:00 p.m. Depart Kiulu town for Kota Kinabalu at approximately 2:50 p.m. Afternoon at leisure. (Overnight stay in KK)

Day 05 - An early morning flight to Sandakan Town on the East Coast of Sabah will bring us to the wildlife heaven of Borneo. Upon arrival we will be taken first to Sandakan Town for breakfast then to the Sandakan market to witness the busiest market in Sabah. This unique experience will give us a chance to see the diverse lifestyle that is unique only to Sabah. Later we will depart for Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre and after a short visit to the information centre, we will be taken on a short walk through the rainforest to the feeding platform to see the Semiwild Orang Utan being given their daily morning meals. Occasionally other wildlife will make an appearance. Monkeys, Hornbills and others will, when least expected, make a dramatic entrance. After feeding the orang utan, we will then be shown a video presentation on the lives of the orang utan. Next we will proceed to Sandakan for lunch and conclude our day with a city tour of the town. Return flight back to KK where your tour concludes.
